Additional Tasks

Additional tasks can be considered as part-time 'jobs' at the forum itself. They will be divided between staff members and members that have proven to be essential and received the veteran or elite status. You won't be doing them every day, but rather a few times in a period.

First, you may be the only person on a certain job in the beginning. Until you get more people on the same job to help you with it us, the admins and Gmods, help you.
Second, in order to prevent a breakdown, I suggest only on taking on one group. Moderating the forums along with a task as listed below will take a chunk of time already.
Last, there will not be a separate membergroup for them. Instead you will receive something for your profile to show that you are on a job.

It may sound like tough business, but once you get the hang of it you'll actually enjoy it. If you feel like your job is becoming a drag please let us know so we can see what we can improve on this. Taking a break from your duties from time to time is also encouraged and respected.

The tasks as they are right now are:

PR Manager: The Public Relation Manager is in charge of anything related to the members. Welcoming new members to the forum, helping them out where they need it, asking for their feedback, listening to their opinions and replying to their suggestions (or passing those on to the staff) are all tasks which a PR Manager does.

And no, if someone asks something you won't be repeating the same answer over and over again. Instead you just link the members to where it can be found along with a friendly word.

PR Manager is a time consuming job, but a crucial and respected one. Becoming one will greatly improve your member management skills.

Requirements: Communicational skills, Patient temper, Good sense of where to find something at the forum, Willingness to be actively involved with the community.

Affiliation Manager: The Affiliation Manager is in charge of any projects with other anime based sites/forums. They both take the lead in setting up affiliation projects with other sites or reviewing the incoming ones. They consider what sites would make a good affiliation partner based on their reputation, activity, potential and staff members. It also is a job that comes with responsibility, as you will be the one initiating and seeing through a conclusion in an affiliation project.

Requirements: Connections (eg active/respected poster on other boards) OR being a good representative of the forum, Sense of responsibility, Willingness to be the one initiating projects.

Event Manager: The Event Manager is in charge of planning, organizing and running events/contests at the forum. They work together with the community to think of new and original events, followed by realizing them (goal, rules, rewards, entries, assigning a jury etc.) and seeing them through to a good end.

After listening to and working out an event idea, the Event Manager posts the concept in the Events section of the Staff Zone. The other staff will voice their opinions on it, followed by the Global Moderator either approving or disapproving the idea based on how it was received.

Basically the event manager adds more fun to the forum by listening to the ideas of the members, using them and making them into a smooth running event.

Requirements: Planning and organizing skills, Originality, Communicational skills.

Member Manager: The Member Manager is in charge of the community. Recommending a member for promotion or demotion, banning a member, ensuring the board guidelines are followed are all things the Member Manager does. His position could be considered as community supervisor.

Requirements: Being able to make decisions based on personal intuition rather than personal opinion on someone.

Styling & Design: The Styling & Design section focuses on the looks and feels of the board. Ranging from stuff like designing banners, images for in the skin or other graphics to skinning, they are in charge of making the board look appealing and inviting. Their area of expertise is generally the graphics zone on the board.

Requirements: Advanced experience in Photoshop/Gimp or another image editing software (thus being able to create nice graphics), A bit of spare time.
